Check in with your military sponsor. Ensure before you leave your command that you have a solid military contact, a sponsor, who is ready and willing to help you get settled into your next command. 

Ask to receive a Welcome Aboard Package to be sent to you prior to coming here and read it thoroughly. It can save you time and can prove to be very beneficial.
